These terms are an agreement between you and Lokhande Ventures (proprietor: Shivhari Lokhande), Jalna, Maharashtra, India ("we", "us"), which operates the GharHisab app and website. They are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and need no physical signature. By creating an account or using GharHisab, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
GharHisab is a household finance app. It helps you record income and expenses, track bills, EMIs, budgets and goals, share a household with family, and see cash-flow forecasts. Your financial ledger is stored only on your device, in an encrypted database. Our servers run your account, subscription, family sharing, notifications and support.
2. What GharHisab is not
GharHisab is not a bank, a payment system, an NBFC, an investment adviser, a SEBI-registered research analyst or investment adviser, a tax adviser or an insurance intermediary. It does not move money, hold deposits or give personalised financial advice. Forecasts, insights and reminders are estimates based on the data you enter and may be wrong. 3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18 or older to create an account and be able to enter a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
- A person under 18 may use GharHisab only as a member of a household created by their parent or lawful guardian, after the guardian gives verifiable consent. See Children and Family.
- Give accurate account details and keep your sign-in, device PIN and backup password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
4. Your data and your device
- Because your ledger lives on your phone, you are responsible for your backups. If you lose your phone, uninstall the app, or forget your backup password without an encrypted backup, we cannot recover your ledger — we never had it.
- You own the data you enter. You give us only the limited permission needed to run the service (for example, to deliver encrypted family-sync messages we cannot read).

Purchases are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store and are processed by the store under its terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Founder lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Details: Pricing, Subscription and Auto-Renewal, Refund and Cancellation. We will show any price change clearly and in advance; a change applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before it.
"Lifetime" means for as long as we operate GharHisab and offer the features in that plan.
6. Acceptable use
Do not: break the law; access another person's data without permission; reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or attack the service; send malware; misuse the support channel; or add a person to your household without their consent (or, for a minor, without being their parent or guardian).
7. Third-party services
Optional features rely on others (Google for Gmail access and push notifications, Google Play and Apple for billing, Android for SMS). Their own terms apply. We are not responsible for their availability.
8. Intellectual property
The app, website, name and logo belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app while these terms apply.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep GharHisab running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or stop features. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will give reasonable notice and, where required, a fair refund for unused paid time.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on forecasts or insights. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending your account
You may stop using GharHisab and delete your account at any time (Data Deletion). Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel it in Google Play or the App Store too. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaches these terms, after notice where reasonable.
12. Grievances and disputes
Contact our Grievance Officer first: Shivhari Lokhande, shivhari.lokhande06@gmail.com. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month. See Grievance Redressal for escalation, including the National Consumer Helpline (1915) and consumer commissions via e-Daakhil.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights to approach a consumer commission, courts at Jalna, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We will post changes here with a new version and date and tell you in the app if a change is material. Continuing to use GharHisab after that means you accept the new terms.
