GharHisab, by Lokhande Ventures. You can delete your data inside the app or without the app.
A. In the app
- Open GharHisab → Settings → Export or delete data.
- (Optional) Export first, or make an encrypted backup, if you want to keep a copy.
- Tap Delete everything to erase the ledger and all data stored on this phone.
- Tap Delete account to delete your GharHisab account and the account data on our servers.
- Cancel any subscription in Google Play or the App Store — deleting the account does not cancel it.
If you are the head of a household, remove or hand over the household first; members' own phones keep their own copies of the ledger.
B. Without the app
Email shivhari.lokhande06@gmail.com from your registered email with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm it is you. We acknowledge within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days, then confirm by email.
What gets deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your financial ledger | On your phone only. Deleted when you tap "Delete everything" or uninstall the app. We never had a copy. |

| Account (email, mobile, name), devices, push tokens, household membership, invites | Deleted from our servers |
| Encrypted family-sync messages | Deleted; any remaining expire within 30 days |
| Support tickets | Deleted, or purged on our schedule |
| Analytics (if you opted in) | Never linked to your account; only groups of 50+ |
What we must keep
- Billing records for as long as tax law requires (GST and income-tax record rules).
- Security audit log entries (no financial values) for at least 1 year under the DPDP Rules, and up to 7 years for fraud prevention and legal claims.
- Guardian consent records, as evidence required by the DPDP Act, while legally needed.
These are kept securely and used for nothing else.
