Cash-flow forecast
What is a cash-flow forecast?
A cash-flow forecast is your balance projected for every day ahead, worked out from the salary, bills, EMIs and SIPs already in GharHisab.
It looks 30 days ahead on Free and up to 365 days on Plus. If a day dips below the safety line you set, you see it at the start of the month, not at the end.
- Free: 30 days. Plus: up to 365 days
- Low-balance warnings on Plus
- An estimate from your own entries, not advice

Bills & reminders
How do bill reminders work?
A bill reminder keeps every due date on one calendar and tells you before each payment is due.
Rent, electricity, broadband, school fees, insurance premiums and OTT subscriptions. Set each one once, monthly, quarterly or yearly.
- Monthly, quarterly and yearly schedules
- Reminder before the due date
- Feeds straight into the forecast

EMIs & loans
How does the EMI tracker work?
An EMI tracker records each loan's monthly instalment, the principal still outstanding and the month the loan closes.
Home loan, car loan, or money borrowed from family. EMI reminders work on Free; loan details and payoff dates come with Plus.
- EMI schedule and payoff month
- Interest paid so far
- Counts towards net worth

Budgets
How do budgets work?
A budget planner sets a monthly limit for each category and shows how much is left while days are still left in the month.
Groceries, fuel, eating out, children, festivals. Categories are built for Indian homes, and you can add one-off budgets for Diwali or a wedding.
- Free: up to 3 budgets. Plus: unlimited
- Budget against actual, by category
- Festival and one-off budgets

Goals
How do savings goals work?
A goal savings tracker turns a target, such as school admission or a car down payment, into a monthly amount and tracks progress to the date.
Each goal shows how much is saved, how much is left and what to set aside this month to reach it on time.
- Target date and monthly amount
- Link a goal to an account
- Shared family goals

Family sharing
How does family sharing work?
Family sharing puts up to 5 members in one household, so everyone sees the same bills and forecast while private spaces stay private.
Invite your spouse or parents. You choose who can edit and which spaces each person can see. Changes sync end-to-end encrypted.
- Up to 5 members on Family
- Private, family, adults and kids spaces
- End-to-end encrypted sync

Accounts & entries
Do I need to link my bank?
GharHisab keeps cash, bank accounts, UPI wallets and cards in one list, with no bank login.
Log spends by hand in seconds, or on Plus let the app read bank and UPI SMS on your Android phone. The message text never leaves the device.
- Fast manual entry
- SMS (Android) and Gmail auto-capture on Plus
- OTPs and personal chats are ignored

Net worth & investments
How is net worth tracked?
A net worth tracker adds up what you own, such as mutual funds, PPF, FDs, gold and stocks, and subtracts what you owe, month by month.
You enter and update the values yourself. GharHisab shows the number and its trend; it never recommends what to buy or sell.
- Plus feature
- Values you control
- No buy or sell recommendations

App lock & encryption
How is my data protected?
Your ledger sits in an encrypted SQLCipher database on your phone, and the app locks with a PIN, fingerprint or Face ID.
Auto-lock when you step away, hide amounts with one tap in public, and back up to a file only your password can open.
- SQLCipher, 256-bit key in Keychain or Keystore
- Auto-lock and hidden amounts
- Encrypted backups only you can open
