Who can use GharHisab
- Accounts are for adults (18+).
- Under the DPDP Act, 2023 a "child" is anyone under 18. A child can use GharHisab only as a member of a household created by their parent or lawful guardian (the family head).
Verifiable parental consent
Before a child's account joins a household, the parent or guardian — already a verified adult account holder — must give consent in the family flow (DPDP Act s.9 and DPDP Rules r.10). We record who gave consent, for which member, which version of the notice, how, and when. The parent can withdraw consent at any time by removing the member, and the child's server-side account data is then deleted.
What we do — and never do — with a child's data
- We process only what is needed for the household to work (account, membership, role, device and notification data).
- We do not track, monitor behaviour, profile, or show targeted advertising to children.
- A child's financial entries stay on the family's phones, like everyone else's.
Household roles
The family head invites members and approves each new phone. Members see only the spaces they are given access to. Household sync is end-to-end encrypted — we cannot read it.
Concerns
If you believe a child's data reached us without a parent's consent, email shivhari.lokhande06@gmail.com and we will delete it.
